2009 Preview: New Year's Eve Events

- Dance the night away at The Metropolitan Club’s New Year’s Eve celebration. The Laigh Langley Band will provide the tunes, food, free martinis, a midnight toast and party favors will be on hand from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tickets cost $100 and can be purchased by calling The Metropolitan Club at (678) 527-2000. - Ray’s Killer Creek will be open New Years Eve from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. In the evening, Chicago Joe Jones will be playing. On New Year’s Day, the restaurant will serve brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Ray’s Killer Creek is at 1700 Mansell Road in Alpharetta.

- The Funny Farm Comedy Club has developed a tradition of bringing in some of the finest comics including Tom Simmons for its New Years Eve celebration. The 10:30 p.m. show comes with party favors and a champagne toast. The Startime Sports Bar has a free Buffet for the evening and its own midnight countdown. The show is for 21 and older only. Tickets for the 8 p.m. show cost $25 and are $45 for the 10:30 p.m. show. The Funny Farm Comedy Club is located inside Startime Entertainment at the corner of Holcomb Bridge Road and Alpharetta Highway.
