Updated: 3:25 p.m.- Due to the weather, Roswell Recreation and Parks have canceled all evening (Friday 2/12) activities (including rentals) and will close all buildings by 6 p.m. For tomorrow (Saturday 2/13), all buildings will remain closed until 12 noon (including rentals). All outdoor activities (except tennis tournament) have been canceled for Saturday (2/13).

Updated at 2:45 p.m.: According to Jason Wright, a spokesman for the city of Milton, the city will be salting its bridges this afternoon as a precaution.

"Right now, snow is not a problem because you can gain traction," he said. "Ice is a problem, but we aren't expecting any ice."

Wright said the city will continue to monitor the weather.

According to James Drinkard, a spokesman for the city of Alpharetta, the city is not expecting icy roads.

"We have the materials on hand to salt roads if necessary," he said. "But at this time we aren't expecting icy conditions."

Drinkard said the city is paying close attention to weather reports to see if conditions change.
